I’m not going to lie… it was so wonderful to be in retreat mode this week- but I am so happy to be back cooking and managing our sustenance in my kitchen!π₯°π₯π₯°
Sit with the Warriors. The conversation is different.
I came here to get a seat at the table.
To collaborate with brilliant minds.
To learn.
To make friends.
I did all of the above! ππ₯π

Feeling grateful Houston!!
Grounding myself in nature means getting out of my head for a bit and seeing all there is around me. It helps me clear space to then get creative and better serve my clients on so many levels! I’m so excited to get rolling in 2024! Happy New Year!!
Can you guess what we’re making??
As a nanny starting with newborns I always did So. Much. Talking. I advise parents to just say out loud what you are doing as you cook a meal, change diapers, fold clothes, what you see as you walk through a store. You will be surprised how quickly they will pick up on things!
Seriously!! After the all the holiday prep, actual Thanksgiving Day, and weekend travels, I threw my back out this morning!π¬π£ Thankfully we are prepared with food already in the freezer ready to throw together an awesome meal π€π€. Need a cool summer outdoor art idea? This is a leftover dollar tree tablecloth. I’ve also done this with a clear or white shower curtain but I really love how the paint looks on black!
We are getting SUMMER READY around here! π»ππππ»ππ
Happy Mother’s Day to all moms and nurturersπ»π»
We are working on affirmations this month over here at Seed to Sapling π The Twinadoes have loved creating these beautiful flags to put all around our learning area and we’re not done! The backgrounds are large pieces of art they have done in the past that I cut into flag shapes, and they cut their words out and decorated them and attached them to the flags. Affirmations are not just important for us adults, they change the course of the day of a child as well! We got these affirmations from music we listen to, and now they they see in print what we’ve been hearing, they are ready to come up with some of their own!
For me Sundays are for soaking up nature and getting mentally and physically prepared for the week!
Recently I completed a certification in Postpartum Nutrition. It literally changed my thinking around food as medicine and nourishment as a way of life. Ever since, I have been asked where I studied!
My program was taught by Maranda Bower and she’s currently offering a π₯FREEπ₯ Postpartum Nutrition Masterclass March 9th! It’s live, Q&A at the end, and a special bonus at the end β€οΈ Her masterclasses are so packed with valuable info - you won’t want to miss!

Pumpkin Nature Craft! πππ
I used a hot glue gun and added whatever we gathered outside. For older youngsters, under supervision, I let them use wooden popsicle sticks to tap down items I used the hot glue on. Scroll through and see what we did!

Sunday Weekly Wellness Prep!
In order to take care of my own family and others well I have to stay healthy myself!
Juicing is one of my favorite ways to do this!
Celery juice on the left and fresh *wellness* shots on the right! Pineapple, ginger, and tumeric π€
Hiring a Postpartum Doula or Newborn Care Specialist to come into your home for the first time can be scary! Luckily I’m BOTH and I have been working with ALL kinds of families for 25 years!
Having that one on one support, virtually or in person, can make all the difference in the Postpartum Season and the early months for your babies.
Questions? Drop me a DM I love to connect! ππ
For anyone who is looking to food prep, I want to share what we do some weeks to help us eat healthy and well during the week even when schedules get crazy! This also helps us get more bang for our buck! Over the weekend we smoked 3 whole chickens and cooked about 6 pounds of chicken and beef fajita meat. I was able to break down those whole chickens, cook chicken fried rice and chicken pot pie to kick the week off, and then freeze 8 more packs! These will make dinners, chicken salads, and healthy wraps for lunches. The fajita meat fed us well (I’m always down for a taco!) and I still froze 4 more portions for lunches— I’m thinking fajita salads! I started running out of time but I managed to take a few pics
Hi everyone!! I am over the moon EXCITED to finally debut my dream business! I have been beyond blessed for many years to serve families in many different capacities, from a babysitter and daycare teacher, to a nanny, a household manager, a family assistant, and in later years specializing in infants, toddlers, and multiples. In 2021 I began investing in myself to bring my skills to a whole new level! Today I am a newborn care specialist, a postpartum doula, and a parent consultant/educator. AND I still work with toddlers! I am offering postpartum support, newborn support, and consults for all stages from infancy to toddlerhood. My website and packages are coming soon but in the meantime, I am happy to discuss ways I can offer support now. Most of all, thank you so very much to every parent who has put their trust in me over the last 20 years! Working with your children has been and continues to be such a privilege!
Happy first week of π·SPRINGπ» and happy World Doula Week! I have been quiet on IG but so busy behind the scenes! Amazing doors have opened and I’ve been blessed to spend the past year training as a Newborn Care Specialist, Postpartum Doula, and Lactation Educator. It has long been my humble passion to serve families, and now I have even more skills to add to what I can give. It’s a beautiful time to work with families!
Starting 2022 off RIGHT!
Thank you for your service!
Seriously @houstonzoo I don’t know what we would have done without you the majority of 2020 and beyond! Thanks for all you do!
Thank you @oliviasromantichome for all the Makenzie Childs inspiration- I had to give it a shot!
Who else likes to get the kids outside for some artistic expression? Watercolors are definitely a favorite around here π¦π¨
Until I get some fancy juice glasses for my morning carrot juice, wine glass it is! Cheers for Wednesday morning! πππ»π§π₯π₯
